Welcome to Toshima Church
Toshima Church was established in 1949 in Toshima Ward, Tokyo.
This church was founded by the St. Columban Missionaries of Ireland.
The current church was built in 1959 and has been cherished by the local community ever since.
In 1990, Father Chirillo Murphy, the then chief priest, began offering Mass in English.
It remains a gathering place for believers from many countries.
In addition to the attached St. Patrick's Kindergarten, there are also Boy Scouts and a children's cafeteria,
Through concerts by external organizations, bazaars organized by volunteers,
We are striving to become a church that is widely open to everyone.
The church is open to everyone during the daytime.
The entire church community looks forward to welcoming you.
『Toshima Church Charter of Activities』
"Following Christ, and through His mercy, we, as a community, will love and forgive one another,
help each other, and strive in faith, hope, and action to become a community
that proclaims the love and unity of Christ."
